IMPORTANT DATES

• Auditions: None; all interested dancers must complete this form. Time spent in rehearsals is dependent on your casting.

• Performance: Friday June 20 2025 at The Hill Arts at 7:30p

• Tech: Thursday June 19at The Hill Arts from 6-10p

• Rehearsals at Deering Grange

  • Saturdays June 7 & 14; 9:30a-3:30p

  • Sundays June 1, 8, 15; 12:30p-3:30p

IMPORTANT NOTES REGARDING STEAMY NIGHT

• Dancers must be at least 18 years of age and not in high school to be cast.

• Dancers must be available weekends for rehearsals as outlined above, +6/19 tech night, +6/20 show

• Dancers will be required to register here in advance of casting.

• Casting: There is no formal audition process for dancers; simply fill out this form. Choreographers will be given a list of interested dancers to choose from. Final casting is at the discretion of the show directors. Although we try our best to place everyone who submits a dancer interest form, not all may be cast. Availability is very important, as Steamy Nights has a quick rehearsal process for one show.

More About The Show

Steamy Nights is a fundraiser for The Hill Arts, coordinated by Vivid Motion Dance each year. This annual burlesque show features solos, duets, small &large group pieces from Vivid Motion Dance, as well as guest performers from Maine's burlesque and performing arts community.

• We believe that sexy comes in all sizes, adult ages, genders, and skill levels.

• We think that consent onstage & off is sexy.

• Each dance has different levels of humor and seduction.

• We do not show full nudity onstage.

• Dancers can stay fully clothed, perform in lingerie/sexy outfits, or strip down to undergarments and/or pasties.

How “Burlesque” is this show? 

We do not show full nudity on stage. Each dance has different levels of humor and seduction; dancers can stay fully clothed, perform in lingerie/sexy outfits, or strip down to undergarments and/or pasties. Choreographers work with each dancer to find individual comfort levels with striptease and sex appeal. We cast people who aren't comfortable stripping or prefer to wear a little more onstage, and work with them to be sure they are comfortable and feel fabulous in their costumes.
